Martin sur le plateau de l'émission "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" à New York. © JLPPA/Bestimage  Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon author George RR Martin wishes he could send dragons to the Kremlin should Russian leader Vladimir Putin ever use nuclear bombs.The 74-year-old fantasy writer made the comments at the end of a rare TV appearance.He appeared on the Stephen Colbert US talk show to discuss his new illustrated history of the Targaryen dynasty as featured in HBO’s House of the Dragon TV series.The House of the Dragon drama is set 200 years before the events of Games of Thrones and focuses on the civil war between Targaryen family factions.It is an abbreviated version of the original 300,000 word book Fire and Blood and features 150 original illustrations by artists from all over the world bringing the fantasy worlds of Westeros and beyond to life.One of the images Colbert focussed on was the Iron Throne , made from the weapons of defeated enemies.While the TV series shows it as a single seat, the illustration reveals it sitting at the top of a stairway flanked by many more captured arms.Colbert said:” I was not aware of this.“We all have an image in our head of the Iron Throne from the series on HBO Game of Thrones.Martin replied:” That is what it is supposed to look like.“A lot of the kings cut themselves on It and sometimes get infected so it is probably good that you don't have an iron seat here ! © BestImage, JLPPA / Bestimage
