BGUK_2816375 - Los Angeles, CA - Robert Downey Jr pokes fun at his bad movie reviews as he picks up award at the Critics Choice Association Awards. The actor, who won Best Support Actor for his role in Oppenheimer, read out several real reviews from critics which left the celebrity audience in stitches. Downey Jr started off his speech by calling out his fellow nominees saying: “Ryan, Charles, Robert and Mark would join me in welcoming Sterling K to the mix, another challenger has entered the octagon!” He then pulled out a card from his pocket and continued: “You know what you got me thinking this morning, I guess I love critics, it’s all I think about. So, the Critics Choice Association, you know they've given me such beautiful feedback really, just so many great moments and some of it's so poetic. I just want to share some of their thoughts with you from over the year. The first one of kind of like high coup – ‘sloppy messy and lazy’. The next one is much more metaphoric – ‘like Pee Wee Herman emerging from a coma’. This was from a Brit – ‘a puzzling waste of talent’. And lastly, and this one lingered - ‘amusing as a bedlocked fart’. I just want to say honestly to my Oppenhomies every day of filming was like having my ego’s ass handed to me at the door and I think it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!”
