Keanu Reeves wages war on The High Table and faces off against Bill Skarsgard's villain in new trailer for John Wick 4. Reeves returns in the titular role in the action franchise that, despite being released years apart, all takes place within a couple of weeks. Although it all started with a dog, Mr. Wick now finds himself on the brink of war with the very society that's given him a life and purpose before settling down. In the newest installment in the action franchise, Keanu returns along with former Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne. Ian McShane and Lance Reddick also co-star, making their respective reprisals. This entry ups the ante by adding massive martial arts talents Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins. The film also adds Hiroyuki Sanada from this year's Bullet Train, as well as Bill Skarsgård as antagonist Marquis de Garmont. The movie will deal with the aftermath of the last film, John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, which sees a civil war with the underground assassin world. The massive scope of the last film will also continue in this installment as John will be traveling to Paris, Berlin, and Osaka. The two-minute trailer - set to Westlife's 1999 song Seasons in the Sun - begins with John and Caine, played by Yen, seated inside a candle-lit church. Wick tells Caine he was: "Saying hello," to his late wife Helen, who died from terminal illness before the first film in 2014. Caine then warns him: "You're going to die," and Wick replies: "Maybe not." The camera cuts to Marquis saying from his palatial mansion: "A new day is dawning. New ideas, new rules, new management." Wick's colleague Winston (McShane), the manager of the Continental Hotel, tells him to: "Challenge the Marquis to single combat. Win or lose. It's a way out. Just have fun out there." Wick then reunites with the Bowery King (Fishburne), who hands him a gun and a suit and says: "A man has to look his best when it's time to get married or buried." Later, Wick is in Paris meeting face to face with Marquis of The High Table, a council of 12 crime lords that govern the underworld's most powerful criminal organizations. "If you win, the table will honor its word. You will have your freedom," the Marquis vows. The Marquis' associate (Clancy Brown) later instructs: "Under the old laws, only one can survive. Failure to meet at sunrise will result in execution." But before their duel, Wick will have to face off against a series of henchmen and 'his most lethal adversaries yet'.
